Do you have a native breed horse or pony who could feature in my Wild Hearts fine art book?

As you know by now, I am working on a personal fine art project at the moment that is very much a labour of love.  It is called Wild Hearts and it is a celebration of the beautiful native breed horses and ponies of the British Isles.  I have received an incredible amount of support for Wild Hearts and it got me to thinking that it would be really lovely to invite clients, friends of clients or indeed anyone who has a native breed horse or pony to let me know about their cherished animal to see if they may be included in the book.

As a little reminder, I have been crossing hill and dale over the last 18 months in search of herds of semi-feral native breed ponies to photograph, I have visited a top shire horse stud and I have met some delightful people and their privately owned and adored native breed horses and ponies.  Every photograph I have taken has given an insight into the individual character of each breed and I hope that will shine through in the Wild Hearts book.

I was prompted to embark on this project when I realised that so many of our native breed horses and ponies are classed as at risk, endangered or critical by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.  The aim of the project is to raise the profile of these wonderful animals and encourage more people to support them either by protecting their environment or even by purchasing a registered horse or pony.  If you would like more information about Wild Hearts, please take a look at the Wild Hearts page on my website.

And if you think your native breed horse or pony could be featured in the Wild Hearts book, in the first instance either email me with some details about them as well as where you are based or use the application form on the website.  I only have a select amount of space allocated to each breed in the book so please be aware that there is no guarantee that I will be able to photograph your horse or pony.  However, if they are included I would ask that you make a donation to the Rare Breeds Survival Trust to help protect these wonderful animals who have so captured my heart.

I look forward to hearing from you and let our Wild Hearts beat as one!

Lots of Love
